Erica Raspberry is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Alase Center for Enrichment. She has been with the agency since December 2012. She holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations from North Carolina Central University. Her experience includes marriage and family counseling, individual and group counseling to children, adolescents and adults, domestic violence relations, mental health and substance abuse.

Ms. Raspberry’s understanding of counseling comes from many different theoretical orientations. She views counseling as an opportunity to deal with tragedy, produce change, enhance personal success and growth and to also promote a lifelong, healthy lifestyle that caters to the entire person: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She approaches clients in a nonjudgmental, direct and integrative manner and assists clients in achieving short and long-term goals they have set for themselves. Her belief is that the client or clients have the solution to their dilemmas within one’s self. Therefore, the counselor does not have the “answers” to the client’s “problem”. Her goal is not to change you, but help you become more self-aware, embrace change, discover resolutions to problems and produce habits that will sustain happiness that is everlasting.
